Quincy Jones, who produced Michael Jackson’s classic album “Thriller,” said he will not attend the singer’s funeral.
Jones arrived at London’s Heathrow airport today and told reporters he was devastated by Jackson’s death. He called it “surrealistic.”
Jones said the last time he saw Jackson was back in May in London. He said they had dinner and he remembers telling Jackson he would see him back in Los Angeles.
When asked about Jackson’s funeral, Jones said he wouldn’t go because that’s not how he wanted to remember him.
“No, I am not going to the funeral. Because I don’t want to go to any more funerals. Ray Charles, it’s enough, Marvin Gaye, that’s enough, I don’t want to see any more people.. that’s enough. A hundred and fifty people in two and a half years, it’s enough. I want to remember them the way they were.”
