Police find disabled woman locked in van

Dallas police have found a mentally disabled woman locked in a van in 100-degree heat. They said she may have died if she was in the van for even one more minute.

Police suspect the woman’s boyfriend, Harvey Ray Moss, locked her in the van as punishment.

“He hit me with a stick, with a broom, a mop,” said the woman, who wished to remain anonymous.

When her family didn’t hear from the 21-year-old, who has the mental capacity of a 10-year-old, for several days, they called the police.

The van was parked in front a house in which Moss once lived.
