CEO Majora Carter talks about women leading the green economy

Can women have it all? Majora Carter, president and CEO of the Majora Carter Group, a green consulting company, sits down with theGrio and discusses the role of women in the green movement, the impact of Ursula Burns becoming CEO of Xerox, and how it’s a challenge for women to have it all.

Carter is a leader in the green movement. She founded and served as executive director of the Sustainable South Bronx from 2001 to 2008. In addition to being an advocate for green jobs training and improving public health in urban communities, Carter serves as a co-host on The Green which airs on the Sundance Channel. She is a 2005 MacArthur Fellow and an 2002 Open Society Institute Community Fellow.
