From NBC New York:
Rihanna is singing the praises of boyfriend and baseball pro Matt Kemp, whom she credits for keeping her grounded after her tumultuous split from Chris Brown last year.
“I feel really comfortable, and it’s so easy,” the “Rockstar 101” singer says about the time she spends with the Dodgers’ star outfielder in the forthcoming issue of Elle. “I have such a chaotic life, but at the end of the day, that is just my peace. It keeps me sane, really, talking to him and talking to my family.”
Besides spending time with Kemp, the global pop star has been keeping busy with her own “Last Girl on Earth” tour and singing on “Love the Way You Lie”, a newly-leaked track from Eminem’s forthcoming album that, according to MTV, deals with the perils of an abusive relationship.
During the interview with Elle, Rihanna spoke in detail about the collapse of her relationship with Brown.
“A year ago, I was very confused. Because he was my best friend. All of a sudden, one night changed our whole lives—not only our friendship, but our lives. I wanted to wake up one day and just not have that pain anymore.”
It seems with Kemp in her life now, she’s pain free.
“I’m so happy,” she said.
