LOS ANGELES (AP) – There will soon be a hearing on a key issue in the case against the doctor charged in the death of Michael Jackson.
The judge in charge of the manslaughter case against Dr. Conrad Murray has set a hearing for December 29. The hearing will decide whether medical items found in the singer’s bedroom after his death should be tested, as the defense has asked.
Lawyers for Murray have been asking for months that fluids in two syringes and an IV bag found in Jackson’s rented mansion to find out how much of an anesthetic and painkiller they contained.
Coroner’s officials ruled Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication. The hearing will come less than a week before the preliminary hearing to determine whether the case against Murray should be held over for trial.
