Dominique Dawes backs ‘Let’s Move’ one year later

Olympic gymnast Dominique Dawes, co-chair of the President’s Council on Fitness, Sports and Nutrition, talks about her support for Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move!” campaign.

“I see so many people are motivated now to take control of their health, their wellness and their fitness and… I think the great thing about “Let’s Move” is its really activating communities,” Dawes said.

In celebration of the first year anniversary of Obama’s inspiring campaign, Dawes spoke about the influence Mrs. Obama has over groups and communities of people with her hands-on approach and activeness within her campaign.

Dawes further described Mrs. Obama’s dedication when she said, “To see the first lady in nice clothes jumping rope and sweating with myself and the kids and the other President’s Council members, was really…leading by example.”
