Disrepectful! Grandmother gets robbed at gunpoint

A great grandmother and bartender of 30 years faced the barrel of a shotgun during a robbery on Sunday night. The incident happened at the Middle Brook Bar in Hunting Park around 10:35 p.m.

“I was behind the bar working and a guy comes in the front door and walks down really fast and comes behind the bar with a shotgun and puts it to my head,” said the bartender who chose to remain anonymous.

“He said ‘open it!’ And I said ‘here, take it.’” The woman gave the robber $200 as other customers fled the scene. The woman claims that this was the third time she has been robbed at gunpoint while working at the bar.

Despite the danger and concern from her family, the woman says that she wont quit her longtime job. “I thought about it but I don’t know, I guess because these people are like family to me, that’s why I keep coming back.” “We’ll keep her in our prayers and we’re here for her,” said Kyla Cole, a longtime customer.

While the woman wasn’t physically hurt during the ordeal, she is still feeling the pain of the traumatic event.”Catch the guy so he doesn’t hurt anyone else,” said the woman. “I wasn’t physically hurt but mentally and emotionally I was.”
