A drunk couple savagely stomped a 61-year-old man to death after a bizarre run-in on a Bronx street early Saturday, police sources said.
Investigators are still piecing together the bloody 1:30 a.m. encounter on E. 138th St. but have taken the couple into custody, police said.
Detectives believe Kendall Major, 35, and Tosheba Alford, 20, were coming home in a livery cab after a night of drinking in the north Bronx.
They asked the driver to pull over on a Mott Haven street corner and, as the man negotiated the fare, the woman stepped onto the sidewalk and began talking to passerby Quinton Guerrero, the sources said.
