From News One:
Recently, the University of Connecticut denied the acceptance of 13-year-old Autum Ashante. Although, she has an IQ test score of 149, it was declared she wasn’t “academically ready”.
Reportedly, Autum’s father, Batin Ashante, was enraged by the decision — saying it was “B.S.” and his daughter was “devastated.”
Also, University of Connecticut alumna, Josephine Minnow, was enraged by the denial of Autum’s admission after discovering the story — she took action.
“I love my Alma Mater, but I became outraged that they would deny such talent,” Minnow said.
Minnow decided to petition the university’ decision — in hopes of getting it overturned.
