LOS ANGELES (AP) — The jury at the trial of Michael Jackson’s doctor has heard the voice of the pop star, slurring his words as he told Dr. Conrad Murray that he wanted to impress those who watched his upcoming concerts.
In opening statements, a prosecutor said the recording, from the month before Jackson died, was retrieved from Murray’s cell phone. Jurors have also seen a photo of Jackson’s body on a hospital gurney after he died from an overdose of a powerful anesthetic. Murray is charged with involuntary manslaughter in his death.
