Obama adviser Melody Barnes to leave the White House
Melody Barnes, who has served as President Barack Obama’s domestic policy adviser , will leave the White House at the end of the year, Politico reports. The report, quoting senior administration officials, says Barnes will leave in order to “spend more time with family and consider opportunities in the private sector.”
“I also look forward to devoting time to doing everything I can to ensure that President Obama is reelected,” Barnes said in a statement.
Barnes served as a senior policy adviser to the Barack Obama campaign in 2008 before joining the administration in 2009.
