'Black Girls Rock!' scores high ratings in black households

According to a cable rating chart on RapRehab.com, Black Girls Rock!, the television special celebrating the non-profit organization that provides mentoring to young, black girls, was one of the top cable shows in black households. It ranked at number two (under an NFL regular season football game) with 1,969,000 viewers.

Despite the popularity of African-American reality shows, Black Girls Rock! manage to beat less socially conscious fare such as Real Housewives of Atlanta and Basketball Wives LA.
