Real estate mogul Donald Trump continued to make the case for a potential third party presidential run Wednesday night, claiming that if he entered the race as an independent it would be he, not President Obama or the GOP candidate, that would emerge victorious.

Trump, who’s maintained that he’s “always had a great relationship with the blacks,” told Fox News’ Greta Van Susteren that the African-American vote might play a big part in that triumph.

“Well, I think I’d get a great cross-section. I think I’d get Hispanic votes, frankly. I think — and people smile when I say it — I think I’d do great with the African American votes. I think I’d do great with that,” Trump said. “I just have a great relationship with African-Americans and African-American voters.”
