Martin’s mother and other members of his family had campaigned for Zimmerman to be arrested and charged. She was asked on ‘Today” what she would say if could talk to Zimmerman face to face.

Fulton said she thought a person should apologize if they are remorseful. Then she said she believed it was an accident and things got out of control. She did not say more about how she thinks the shooting happened.
