Will Packer: Think Like a (Hollywood Mogul) Man

From Black Enterprise: After nearly twenty years and with 15 films to his credit, producer Will Packer has firmly established himself as one of Hollywood’s most successful businessmen. The co-founder of the Atlanta-based Rainforest Films and a partner in the recently launched Bounce TV, Packer has become a member of cinema’s A-list by providing a showcase for various portraits of contemporary Africa American life.

A native of St. Petersburg, FL, Packer decided to pursue a career in films following an internship with veteran filmmaker Warrington Hudlin. Following the success of his first two independent projects, Chocolate City, and Trios, he landed on Hollywood’s radar…and never left. Just days before his latest film, Think Like A Man, (an adaptation of comedian Steve Harvey’s New York Times bestselling book), opens in theaters on April 20th and starring actors Michael Ealy, Kevin Hart, Taraji P. Henson and Terrence J, Gil Robertson of the African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA), spoke to Packer about his rising career as a major creative force in cinema.
