Entrepreneur Russell Simmons is teaming up with designer Joseph Abboud to relaunch his Argyleculture menswear line this fall. Simmons wants to target the “urban gentleman” with this line, as he sees it as a style that many have yet to conquer. “Finding the right match is tough,” Simmons said. “Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn’t. Russell Simmons has teamed up with designer Joseph Abboud to relaunch his Argyleculture menswear collection this fall. The line, which will target the “urban graduate,” has already seen two previous failed partnerships since it launched in 2008.
“Finding the right match is tough,” Simmons told WWD. “Sometimes it works, but most of the time it doesn’t. But this is Joseph Abboud.”
The clothes are preppy but edgy and sophisticated, with argyles, plaids and strong colors present through the sportswear line
