Fans remember ‘Green Mile’ star Michael Clarke Duncan at public viewing

Fans of the late Green Mile actor Michael Clarke Duncan flocked to a public viewing Sunday in Los Angeles, as the famed Forest Lawn Memorial Parks and Mortuaries filled up with flower arrangements.

The 54-year-old actor died September 3rd at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, two months after suffering a heart attack.

A slideshow of images of the much-loved actor, who starred with Oscar winner Tom Hanks in The Green Mile, was shown on a large screen behind his casket at the memorial.

Duncan’s famous friends also weighed in on his death, with Hanks calling “Big Mike” the “treasure we all discovered on the set of The Green Mile,” and adding, “He was magic. He was a big love of man and his passing leaves us stunned,” the Daily Mail reported.

Actor Bruce Willis and director Michael Bay also paid tribute to Duncan, as did his fiancée, Omorosa Manigault, now a minister, who issued a statement last week saying, “I am devastated. He was the love of my life.”
