Robin Roberts to enter hospital for bone marrow transplant

Good Morning America anchorwoman Robin Roberts is entering the hospital to have her bone marrow procedure. The Huffington Post has more:

Robin Roberts is headed to the hospital for her bone marrow transplant procedure.

The “Good Morning America” co-host bid farewell on Twitter on Monday morning. “My last tweet for awhile. Heading to hospital…time to focus on healing. I take each & every one of you w/me in my heart. Light and love,” she wrote.

Roberts revealed that she was diagnosed with MDS, a rare blood and bone-marrow disorder, in June. She will be receiving a bone marrow transplant from her sister Sally.

She spent Sunday night at home with her “GMA” colleagues. “Shhhhhh…don’t tell my doctors I’m up late w/ @GMA fam before I go to hospital in the AM,” she tweeted, after writing, “We are family…@GMA family w/@JoshElliottABC at my apt giving me a send off to remember.”
