Two women are injured after they were struck by a hit-and-run driver while standing next to their disabled vehicle on a Dallas highway. Marteen Reed, her husband, and her friend Omega Jones, were changing a flat tire on their SUV. A Dallas County officer arriving on the scene to help with the flat caught the accident on video.
The video, recorded from the officer’s dashboard, shows a vehicle hit its breaks on the exit ramp and then dart down the embankment to get back on the highway. The vehicle hit Jones, who then fell into Reed. Jones was taken to the hospital, and suffers serious injuries. Reed was hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries and was later released. Police are now hoping that somebody will come forward with information on the hit-and-run driver.
