Mystikal becomes latest rapper to consider porn career

Rapper Mystikal is allegedly considering a comeback in the porn industry if his new album fails. This wouldn’t be the first time the “Shake It Fast” artist has dabbled in the adult film world. Though he was not actually having sex, in 2003, Mystikal received an Adult Video News award for his role in the pornographic film Liquid City.

Mystikal is not the first rapper to dabble in porn. Many hip-hop artists have paid homage to the adult industry with their scantily-clad video vixens and sexual lyrics. Others have chosen to get directly involved in the dirty movie business

Rapper Tyga recently announced that he would be starring, producing, and directing his own porn film titled Rack City, after his popular song of the same name.

Snoop Dogg’s Doggystyle, which was released in 2001, was a mixture of music video and hardcore porn, though its star did not appear nude or have sex on camera. And in 2011 Lil’ Jon released an adult video he directed back in 2005 called Club Lil’ Jon.

DJ Yella, one of the original members of NWA, produces adult films and claims to have produced over 150 films. Treach from Naughty by Nature became a simulated performer in Treach’s Naturally Naughty Porn Movie and Sex and the Studio Vol. 1.

Mystikal recently served six years in prison for sexual battery and extortion.
