Tyra Banks' new 'America's Next Top Model' season to feature male models

Yesterday, Tyra Banks revealed that cycle 20 of America’s Next Top Model will include male models.

The former host of The Tyra Banks Show posted a photo of herself to Instagram, with a Post-it  covering her mouth that read “ANTM Cycle 20 Girls & Boys!”

The reality competition, which airs on CW, has been staple in the fashion industry since 2003, launching the careers of Eva Marcille, Toccara Jones, YaYa DaCosta, Fatima Siad and others.

According to Entertainment Weekly “the male models will live in the models’ house along with the female models, and all will compete for the title of America’s Next Top Model.”

In April, Banks made headlines after firing ANTM longtime judges Miss J (aka Jay Alexander), Mr. Jay (aka Jay Manuel), and Nigel Barker to move the show in another direction.

America’s Next Top Model is currently in the midst of its 19th cycle, “College Edition.”

The ANTM panel of judges currently includes Banks, fashion public relations maven Kelly Cutrone and new judge, former boxer and international male supermodel Rob Evans.

Do you think Banks’ decision to add male models with bring in more viewers for Americas Next Top Model?
