By confirming her relationship status, Rihanna may have finally quelled rumors that she’s rekindled her romance with ex-boyfriend Chris Brown.

During the interview, DeGeneres asked the singer if she would rather be in a relationship before having kids or if she was comfortable being a single parent.

“I would prefer to have a full family,” said Rihanna. “I’m pretty sure I could handle it if I had to on my own, but that’s not what I’m striving for.”

Rihanna also identified Mariah Carey as one of her early inspirations because “[Mariah] was biracial, she was also young, I remember hearing her story and really being connected to it.”

The singer is currently on her seven concert, seven cities in seven days “777” tour of Mexico City.
