Wyatt Cenac departing 'The Daily Show' after 4-year run

Wyatt Cenac, one of the first black breakout stars of the acclaimed Comedy Central series The Daily Show, is moving on after a four-year stint on the show.

The comic actor will be departing after taping the December 13 episode before the show goes on hiatus for the holidays.

“Jon and the staff wish him the best in his future endeavors,” a channel spokesman said.

Cenac is no longer the sole African-American star on the show. Jessica Williams, the show’s newest correspondent, joined the cast in January.
