Michael Jordan's shorts get him kicked out of country club

Michael Jordan was recently kicked out of an exclusive Miami Beach country club because he did not follow club dress code, according to the New York Post.

Jordan, a guest of the La Gorce Country Club, was wearing multi-pocketed army fatigue cargo shorts that went against the club’s old-school dress code policies.

The dress code of the club states that members and guests must be attired in a collared shirt and Bermuda shorts. Jordan was given a chance to chance his attire, but refused and continued to play.

Other members of the country club complained about Jordan’s attire. A source added, “He won’t be invited back.”

A representative for Jordan released a statement saying, “Michael Jordan did wear cargo pants . . . He had been there many times before and had worn cargo pants previously, and had never been made aware that he was violating any dress code. This time, he was made aware of the violation on the 12th hole, and at that point . . . he did refuse to interrupt his game, and return to the clubhouse and change. We were not aware that he is not allowed to return to La Gorce. I guess it’s their loss — as MJ is a great golfer, and a great guest.”

This is not the first time the NBA legend’s fashion sense has been called into question.

The magazine GQ also did a write-up about the incident entitled, “Michael Jordan’s Style: So Bad, It Gets Him Kicked out of Places.”

There is also an entire Tumblr page devoted to Jordan’s unique personal style entitled, ‘What The F*** is Michael Jordan Wearing?
