Trey Songz arrested for strip club misdemeanor assault

R&B singer Trey Songz was reportedly arrested in late September of this year over an incident that happened on August 22nd, according to New York Daily News.

The R&B star, whose real name is Tremaine Neverson, was arrested over an altercation that occurred in a Queens strip club for misdemeanor assault after he allegedly threw a wad of money that hit a woman in her left eye, causing “substantial pain.”

Songz, 28, is accused of tossing the money at 36-year-old Donna McIntosh-Inoe after she allegedly snapped a cell phone picture of him at Club Perfection in Woodhaven at 4 a.m.

“He chucked a wad of cash at me,” McIntosh-Inoe told the Daily News. “A wad of cash.”

The Staten Island woman said she didn’t even know she had a bruise on her face until after she left the club.

“I had to walk around a whole week with a black eye,” McIntosh-Inoe said.

McIntosh-Inoe’s husband said the couple paid $700 to sit with Songz in the VIP section of the club where he held an album release party for his fifth EP “Studio V.”

“He tried to delete the picture, but he didn’t know how to use my phone,” McIntosh-Inoe said.

She couldn’t bring herself to pick up the discarded money.

Songz never came out to apologize, according to McIntosh-Inoe.

Songz was charged faced a judge on November 1 regarding the matter. He is scheduled to appear in court again in February.
