Evelyn Lozada drops restraining order against Chad Johnson

Yesterday Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada appeared in public together for the first time since their highly-publicized divorce.

The pair came face to face in a Florida courtroom where Lozada asked the judge to drop the restraining order that was placed against Johnson after she told police he headbutted her during an argument in August.

Lozada divorced the football star just one month after marriage, and later went on a media tour where she discussed details about her domestic violence allegations against Johnson.

Since then, Johnson has publicly apologized on numerous occasions and also admitted that he has an anger problem. In September on Showtime’s Inside the NFL, the former Miami Dolphin revealed that he is taking a step to reset his public image.

“I’m taking classes, anger management classes,” he said. “I’m trying to find out how can I channel my anger when I’m in situations to where I would pop off? How can I defuse those situations?”

During yesterday’s court hearing, the judge asked Lozada if she has been threatened or coerced into making the request to drop her restraining order, to which she replied, “no.”

She also said that she no longer feels like her life or safety is still being threatened by Johnson.

According to TMZ’s sources, “the Basketball Wives star isn’t sure where the relationship will go, but at the very least, she wants to start talking to him again.”
