It’s been seven years since Justin Timberlake has been known strictly as a singer. The former member of N’ Sync has been focusing on acting, philanthropy and proposing to actress Jessica Biel.
Last night, via social media, Timberlake gave his fans a reason to rejoice.
Timberlake tweeted a mysterious message alluding to the fact that he may be releasing some new material at 9:00 a.m. Pacific time and Timbaland followed suit with a tweet saying “the storm is coming.” Rumors began to swirl that Jay-Z has been tapped for the comeback single.
According to Billboard.com, sources close to Timberlake confirm that he will be releasing the follow-up to his 2006 critically acclaimed FutureSex/LoveSounds sometime in 2013, and that it will be executive produced by Timbaland. It will be an anticipated return, and a welcomed reintroduction to the music scene for the 31-year-old artist.
