Destiny’s Child rumored to be reuniting at the Super Bowl

If the rumors are true, Beyoncé’s highly-anticipated Super Bowl halftime show may be an even more special event for her fans.

The pop star may be reuniting with the R&B girl group that initially made her famous: Destiny’s Child.

Yesterday, theGrio reported that the chart topping trio is planning to be rejoin for a record, Love Songs, a compilation of their best ballads, which will also feature a brand new single.

But now, according to Huffington Post, Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams might be planning to make an even bigger splash on Super Bowl Sunday.

They reportedly will perform their new single “Nuclear” for the crowd at the Superdome in New Orleans. If true, this would be the group’s first performance together since the NBA All-Star Game in 2006.

Although Rowland had rejected the concept of a group reconciliation as recently as August, their former manager, Beyoncé’s father Mathew Knowles, has floated the possibility of a future tour.

“It takes a year of planning to do these tours, but first it starts with the artist wanting to do it,” he said. “And I think the ladies are still working happily in their solo careers. And I hope in the next five years that there is a reunion tour,” Knowles told Huffington Post.

“I think it would be incredible. The hardest thing would be choosing which songs they’re going to do, because we would want to mix it up with solo hits and Destiny’s Child hits. We would have to throw away some number ones from off the set list,” he added.
