Quentin Tarantino to interviewer: ‘I’m shutting your butt down!’

Django Unchained director Quentin Tarantino refused to answer British reporter Krishnan Buru-Murthy’s question about the link between violence in movies and real life violence during an interview for the UK’s Channel 4.

The Thursday night interview became heated when the journalist asked Tarantino, “Why are you so sure there’s no link between enjoying movie violence and enjoying real violence?”

“Do not ask me questions like that. I’m not biting. I refuse your question,” the director responded.

He then went on to suggest people Google him to find out his opinion on the matter because it is well documented.

Tarantino, who is known for his violent movies such as Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill series, has vehemently denied a link between violent acts in movies and atrocities in real life.

Django Unchained received Oscar nominations for best picture, original screenplay and best supporting actor (Christoph Waltz) this week.

The film has received criticism for its juxtaposition of comedic elements with the brutality of slavery.

“The truth, or the reality [of slavery], was a thousand times worse than what I showed,” Tarantino recently said ahead of the film’s premiere in Germany.
