Legendary boxer Mike Tyson’s newfound career as a performer has just become a lot more ambitious.

Fresh from his run on Broadway in his own one-man show, Tyson will be appearing in an episode of NBC’s Law & Order: SUV.

According to USA Today, he will “play Reggie Rhodes, a murderer on death row who is also the victim of a difficult childhood.”

Tyson showed his “acting chops” in the hit comedy The Hangover and its sequel. He also appeared as himself in the 1999 drama Black and White.

Still, for the most part his roles have been inherently comedic, spoofing his reckless real life persona, so his part on SUV will likely be his biggest stretch yet.
