It’s been nearly twenty years since tennis legend Arthur Ashe passed away due to complications from AIDS at the age of 49. Items from Ashe’s estate will be auctioned next week, according to Matt Cronin of Tennis.com.
The auction will take place online, with some 300 items up for grabs ranging from Ashe’s Grand Slam trophies to programs from Ashe’s funeral.
Among the more “unique” items up for auction is a couple of Ashe’s wisdom teeth.
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Arthur Ashe Learning Center, a “non-profit group that promotes Ashe’s legacy of scholarship, sport, health and service,” according to Australian newspaper The Age.

Ashe remains the first and only African-American male to win a Grand Slam singles title. He won his first title at the U.S. Open in 1968, followed by victories at the Australian Open in 1970 and at Wimbledon in 1975.
