The age-defying Halle Berry will be regaining her supernatural powers in the latest X-Men movie.
The Academy Award winner is returning to play Storm in X-Men: Days of Future Past, which will begin filming soon and is reportedly scheduled to hit theaters in the summer of 2014.
Berry previously starred in three X-Men blockbusters, the last of which, X-Men: The Last Stand, was released in 2006. She was not involved in the most recent X-Men movie, 2011’s X-Men: First Class.
Appearing on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno Monday night, the 46-year-old actress confirmed her participation in the new project.
“It’s a great role,” said Berry. “It’s a character that I love and fans really love the series and they really love Storm.”
Berry isn’t the only original X-Men cast-member making their return to the comic book series – Hugh Jackman, Ellen Page, Anna Paquin and Patrick Stewart are all expected to be featured in the highly-anticipated film.
“It’s like a family,” said Berry. “It’s fun.”
