Ray J has released a new music video for his controversial new song “I Hit it First.”
His latest release sparked widespread chatter after many assumed the song’s lyrics referenced his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian.
Now, debate over the song will likely get more heated as the video features a girl who is a spitting image of Kardashian.
TMZ published the 3-minute-and-38-second long video, which re-enacts scenes from the couple’s infamous sex tape and alludes to the Kardashian’s TV reality show.
All the while, Ray J sings lyrics, which say:
“She might move on to rappers and ballplayers / But we all know I hit it first … I had her head going North and her a** going South / But now baby chose to go West.”
Despite all of the apparent references to the pregnant reality show star, who is now dating rapper Kanye West, Ray J has denied that the song is about her.
“It’s a song it’s not about that, it’s about a concept,” he told radio station Hot 97.
“People going way too deep. They just gotta keep it on the surface. I’m not trying to create no war, it’s all love; we’re doing music.”
