High school senior Miles Turner plans to return to school for the first time since he was shot in his aunt’s Chicago neighborhood last October.
“From where we came from six months ago, not knowing if my son would live, and today he’s going to the prom and will soon be graduating from high school,” Turner’s father said. “It’s great.”
The 18-year-old and his cousin were walking when they were both shot. Turner was shot five times, and his cousin was fatally shot twice in the chest.
