Access Hollywood host Billy Bush is in the midst of a full-fledged feud with American Idol judge Nicki Minaj.
It all started started last week when Bush called Minaj “unprofessional” after she walked away from an Access reporter during a red carpet interview for American Idol.
Minaj became agitated when Access’s Laura Saltman asked her to comment on remarks she made about her fellow Idol judge, Mariah Carey.
“That question didn’t even make sense,” Minaj said to Saltman. “So if you want me to insinuate [sic] what you’re talking about I’m not going to. So let’s just have some straightforward questions…. Okay goodnight.”
In a blog post for Access, Saltman called Minaj out for her backstage behavior on Idol.
“In my 20 years in entertainment news, I have interviewed close to 5,000 celebrities — people who have bigger bragging rights than Nicki. Men and women who have Oscars, Grammys and Emmys. Yet, by far, she is the most ungracious of anyone I have met,” Saltman wrote.
On Friday’s episodes of Access Hollywood and Access Live, Bush described Minaj as the female version of Kanye West.
“She’s [Minaj] like the miss female Kanye. Just a Pariah,” Bush said “Mariah and the Pariah.”
“I’ve just about had it with her,” Bush continued. “She’s so rude and so indignant.”
Minaj then lashed out at Bush on Twitter.
“The Audacity of you to call me nasty with your one sided journalism. That’s what you ppl do. Yes. I AM the female Kanye c**t @billybush,” Minaj tweeted.
During an interview on with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on NBC’s Today, Bush discussed his feud with Minaj and said the negativity amongst Idol judges has led to a slip in ratings.
“American Idol is the biggest television phenomenon in the history of television in my opinion. And all of a sudden the ratings are reflecting this bitterness.”
Bush also invited the “Super Bass” singer to appear on his show, to settle their feud.
