Boyz II Men Old Navy commercial: Hit or miss?

Clothing retailer Old Navy features the 90s R&B group Boyz II Men in its latest ad.

In the commercial, the group acts as “complementary in-flight entertainment,” singing on a futuristic airplane.

They sing about white jeans over one of their most popular tracks, “I’ll Make Love to You.”

The trio started as a quartet when they rose to international fame in the early 90s.  In 2003, bass singer Michael McCary made the decision to leave the group due to chronic back pain.

Boyz II Men was last featured in a 2012 holiday ad for Old Navy as the “Three Wise Boyz II Men.”  The commercial also incorporated New Kid on the Block member Jordan Knight.

Last year, Old Navy brought back fellow 90s boy band the Backstreet Boys and cast members from the hit TV show 90210 for separate ads.
