theGRIO REPORT - Donald Trump took to his Twitter account Wednesday to voice his opinion on crime in American, blaming blacks and Latinos for the violence.
Donald Trump took to his Twitter account Wednesday to voice his opinion on crime in American, blaming blacks and Latinos for the violence.
Trump tweeted:
According to Bill O’Reilly, 80% of all the shootings in New York City are blacks-if you add Hispanics, that figure goes to 98%. 1% white.
Fox News personality Bill O’Reilly was likely referencing the 2012 Crime and Enforcement Activity
in New York City study, which reports that shooting suspects in 2012 were 78.2 percent black, 18.9 percent Hispanic and 2.4 percent white.
Trump went on to tweet that blacks and Hispanics are also at fault the majority of violent crimes, saying:
Sadly, the overwhelming amount of violent crime in our major cities is committed by blacks and hispanics-a tough subject-must be discussed.
