Rapper and activist Mos Def (a.k.a. Yasiin Bey) voluntarily underwent the alleged standard procedure of force-feeding used at Guantánamo Bay on detainees.
A leaked document from the U.S. government reportedly contains the military standard operating procedure for force-feeding detainees.
The procedure involves the use of a restraint chair, and inserting a tube directly into a detainee’s stomach through their nose.
A hunger strike was first launched earlier this year in February by detainees at Guantánamo Bay, and as the holy month of Ramadan starts, the U.S. government is allegedly preparing to force-feed at least 45 detainees during the hours between sunset and sunrise, according to The Guardian.
