'Hollywood Exes’ star Nicole Murphy: Michael Strahan is 'the male version of Oprah'

Summer just got a bit steamier with the return of VH1’s Hollywood Exes.

The show brings together Hollywood’s A-List ex-wives Nicole Murphy (ex-wife of Eddie Murphy), Andrea Kelly (ex-wife of R. Kelly), Sheree Fletcher (ex-wife of Will Smith), Jessica Canseco (ex-wife of Jose Canseco), Mayte Garcia (ex-wife of Prince) and newcomer Shamicka Lawrence (ex-wife of Martin Lawrence), as they set out to make a name for themselves.

“It’s just a pleasure being with my sisters,” Kelly said of filming season 2 of Hollywood Exes. “Your with family… We really miss each other when we’re not filming. It was great to be with my girls again.”

Andrea, who was married for 12 year to R. Kelly, says that since the show has aired she hasn’t received any feedback from her Grammy-Award-winning ex, but even if she did, it wouldn’t matter.

“I’ll be doing Hollywood Exes season 999 and I would not care,” Kelly said. “I’m on a ‘me journey’ right now… it’s not about our exes and what they feel about it, it’s about us.”

Murphy, who is currently dating former NFL defensive end Michael Strahan, says that this season viewers will get to see more of her love life featured on the series.

During a May appearance on LIVE with Kelly and Michael, Oprah Winfrey declared the co-hosts “the reigning king and queen” of daytime talk.

“I agree with that,” Murphy said when asked if she thinks her boyfriend is the king of daytime. “He’s the male version Oprah.”

Episode 2 of Hollywood Exes airs Sundays on VH1 at 10:30/9:30C.
