Rush Limbaugh claims that he should now be allowed say ni**a because George Zimmerman trial witness Rachel Jeantel, who testified that Trayvon Martin used it as a slang term to refer to Zimmerman, has said it isn’t racist.
On his radio show this morning Limbaugh played audio from Jeantel’s widely-publicized interview with CNN’s Piers Morgan in which she continued to defend Martin’s use of the n-word.
“People, the whole world say it’s a racist word. Mind you, around 2000, they changed it around, I think. It starts spelling ‘n-i-*-*-a,'” she said.
Limbaugh took offense at Jeantel’s argument that the word takes on a different meaning when it ends in an ‘a’ as opposed to ‘er’.
“So, ‘ni**a,’ with an ‘a’ on the end, well I think I can now. Isn’t that the point? ‘Cause it’s not racist. That’s the point. I could be talking about a male, a Chinese male, a guy at the laundromat. I could be talking about a man. That’s what she said it means,” he claimed.
