17-year-old graduates from FAU with degree in molecular biology

At the age some young adults are graduating high school, seventeen-year-old James Martin has graduated from Florida Atlantic University.

The Florida teen earned his Bachelor’s degree in molecular biology with a 3.9 GPA.

“”It’s funny, because I have a really young face, so they all knew this kid doesn’t belong here,” Martin said, reports WPTV.

The Miramar resident enrolled at FAU when he was just 14.  He now plans to attend graduate school.

“In a couple years, hopefully I’ll be on my way to getting a Ph.D., so that would be such a tremendous blessing,” Martin said. “Then another eight years, I’ll be a professor somewhere.”
