Bill de Blasio's daughter Chiara appears in new ad slamming Lhota attacks

During the NYC Democratic mayoral primary, Bill de Blasio‘s teenage son Dante appeared in a game-changing anti-stop-and-frisk ad which played a major role in securing his father’s victory.

Now, the candidate is deploying his 19-year-old daughter Chiara in a new commercial aimed at smacking down the attacks of his Republican opponent Joe Lhota.

In the clip, Chiara speaks directly to camera in the same style that Dante did earlier this fall.

“Now that my dad is on the move, his opponents are on the attack,” she says.

Although she never mentions Lhota, de Blasio’s daughter does mention the Democrat’s plans to expand pre-K education, raise taxes on the wealthy and “end racial profiling.”

Chiara also injects a little humor into her ad, poking fun at all the attention her brother’s abundant afro has received.

“All this attention isn’t bad,” Chiara says, as a picture of Dante appears. “As long as it’s not your little brother,” she adds before sarcastically rolling her eyes.

Still, this new charm offensive might not even be necessary. According to the New York Times, polls suggest de Blasio is poised to win the mayor’s race by a historic 45-point margin.
