During the early 2000s, Murder Inc. was one of the premier rap labels in the game.

However, once a rising 50 Cent and G-Unit records arrived on the scene they immediately began to beef, ultimately dominating Murder Inc.

The label’s signature star, Ja Rule, in a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, acknowledged that the battle with 50 did impact his career negatively.

TheGrio’s Kyle Harvey recently caught up with Ashanti to ask if she felt her career growth as a singer was stymied due to the hip-hop feud.
