Columbus Short stars in short film with wife, gets involved in real-life scandal

Where is Olivia Pope when you need her?

Columbus Short – who plays Scandal‘s no. 1 “gladiator”, Harrison Wright – has seemed to have gotten himself into a bit of a ruckus.

Short engaged in a bar brawl earlier this month in Los Angeles where he seriously injured a man– and he was arrested Wednesday on a felony charge.

Records show he was released later that day after posting $50,000 bail and if he is convicted, the gladiator could face up to four years in state prison.

But this isn’t the first run in the actor has had with the law.

On Feb. 14, Short was ordered to stay away from his wife after he was charged with a misdemeanor spousal battery. His wife filed for divorce last year but dismissed the case just a few months ago.

It seems as though the two are working things out. They’re starring opposite each other in a short film titled The End Again – a romantic comedy feature that focuses on the ups and downs of being in a relationship.

The film is set to go on a multi-city screening but meanwhile, the actor awaits to hear of a court date to determine what’s next in this real-life scandal.
