Reality star Benzino weighed in on the Mimi Faust sex tape at a private listening party Thursday night in Atlanta to celebrate the release of his fiancée’s new single.
Raymond Scott (a.k.a. Benzino) said that he was in no position to judge his fellow Love & Hip-Hop: Atlanta cast member.
“Shout out to Mimi Faust,” he said. “To each to their own. Only God can judge.”
His new significant other, budding music artist Althea “Thi Thi” Heart, echoed the same sentiment.
“To each to his own. I hope she’s rich,” said the newest cast member to L&HH ATL.
The 48-year-old reality TV star is clearly smitten with his 33-year-old new love, who celebrated her birthday yesterday along with the release of her new single, “Ghetto Love.”
“She’s shown me the real meaning of love, it’s true,” said the former rapper and Hip Hop Weekly co-owner.“I’m going to marry her and have some babies. You hear that song right now, that’s her song, “Ghetto Love.” I love her.”
In fact, Benzino made headlines in February by proposing to Althea, much to the disapproval of his now ex-girlfriend, LHHA co-star Karlie Redd.
Despite being in good spirits, Benzino was sporting a sling on his right arm and is still recovering from last month’s shooting that left him hospitalized with an injured arm.
“I’m alright, I’ve just about six more months of physiotherapy and I’m going to be good,” he said.
Among the crowd was LHHA couple Rasheeda and Kirk as well as Benzino and Thi Thi’s parents. Stevie J’s father even made an appearance.
Benzino surprised his birthday girl with a pair of diamond earrings to complement the huge engagement ring everyone finally got a peek at last night. The party at the trendy Bar One restaurant and lounge was being recorded for a scene in LHHA.
Indeed, VH1’s upcoming third session of Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, which premieres May 5th, is already creating a buzz following the timely release of a “leaked” steamy sex tape by co-stars Mimi Faust and her boyfriend, Nikko Smith. Mimi, who is in her forties and mother of little Eva, has subsequently been on the receiving end of scathing criticism.
Though, she doesn’t seem too bothered. After images from the X-rated raunchy home movie hit the Internet, Mimi posted a message on Instagram that blatantly told critics to be quiet “If you don’t pay my bills.”
Mimi and Nikko have reportedly signed off on an agreement with Vivid Entertainment to distribute their sexscapades.
