Donald Sterling banned for life from NBA, fined $2.5 million
Schultz, a former NBA owner, said, “I’d ban him for life. This is much more than just about the NBA, this is about America.”
This Morning host, Gayle King, then turned to her best friend Oprah for her view of the situation.
“You’ve been following the story?” asked King. “Of course I’ve been following this story, and it feels like a plantation mentality in the 21st Century, in 2014,” Oprah said. “It just doesn’t fit. And I’m waiting to see what they’re going to do. Because something has to be done.”
