Photos from Chris Brown's alleged assault trial released

The U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C. has released photos of the involved parties from the night singer Chris Brown and his bodyguard allegedly assaulted a man outside a D.C. hotel.

The photo release happened as Brown sat in a Los Angeles jail awaiting a trial date for misdemeanor assault in Washington. Brown is in custody in California, where he faces probation issues over his 2009 attack on then-girlfriend singer Rihanna. No new trial date is set in Washington.

Prosecutors say Brown and his bodyguard, Christopher Hollosy, hit 20-year-old Parker Adams after Adams tried to get into a photo Brown was taking with two women outside his tour bus in October.

Witnesses testified at Hollosy’s trial that Adams and Brown exchanged words over the picture and Brown, then Hollosy, hit Adams.

Brown was to stand trail last month, and Hollosy was expected to testify that he, not Brown, hit Adams. But Hollosy, who was tried separately and convicted, plans to appeal. Hollosy’s lawyer has said that unless Hollosy is granted immunity, he will not testify until his appeal is over.

A lawyer for Brown said in court last month that could take at least six months. Prosecutors have said it could take a year. A hearing is set for May 9th where a motion will be filed to have the singer released from jail in LA until he is due back in court.
