Kendrick Lamar inspired short film to debut at Sundance's 'NEXT FEST'

Kendrick Lamar is entering the movie business.

A Kendrick-inspired short film will premiere  next week at Sundance’s first annual NEXT FEST in Los Angeles.

The 14-minute movie titled m.A.A.d will be based on Lamar’s debut, the critically acclaimed G.O.O.D Kid, Maad City, according to Billboard. Khalil Joseph will direct the short film.

m.A.A.d  revolves around several interlocking storylines and how they ultimately collide in LA.

At 27, Lamar is considered to be a leader of the next great class of emcees. His next commercial album is untitled and scheduled to be released sometime later this year.
