Former NBA all-star Allen Iverson will be inducted into the Hampton Roads African-American Sports Hall of Fame this year.
The organization was established in 1996 and inducted its first class a year later.
The Virginian Pilot reports the former NBA MVP will join ten other inductees, including former NFL players Dre Bly and Ricky Barden.
During his 14-year NBA career, Iverson was an 11-time all-star and led the Sixers to the 2001 NBA Finals. The team retired his No. 3 jersey in March.
The induction ceremonies will take place Nov. 21 and Nov. 22 in Virginia Beach.
