The Oprah Winfrey Network is presenting a new season of their Emmy-nominated DIY home makeover show, Home Made Simple, hosted by Soleil Moon Frye (former Punky Brewster child star).
This season, Home Made Simple boasts some amazing celebrity appearances, including actor Blair Underwood, singer Josh Groban, The Chew host Carla Hall, Shanice from OWN’s Flex and Shanice and renowned chef Ben Ford.
The show is a great example of celebrities working together with a common goal: to help transform the homes of deserving families and the lives of viewers. After the show, viewers can visit the show’s website, www.homemadesimpletv.com, to get step-by-step instructions on how to do the projects in their own homes.
In an upcoming episode, Underwood surprises and honors a hard-working single mom, who recently earned her Masters degree and inspired her daughter to attend college, with a new dual-purpose art room and guest room space to both fulfill her passion for painting and provide a welcoming bedroom for her daughter to visit.
On the season premiere episode, Hall teaches the children of a foster youth advocate cooking techniques for creating the perfect chicken dish, and the team later transforms the family’s garage into an inviting homework area and gathering place for the kids as well as a proper workspace for the mom’s charity work.
Another highlight this season includes Shanice whipping up her favorite family lasagna recipe for a dedicated adoption advocate and mom of ten while Soleil and her team help transform the kitchen, dining and laundry room areas to create a more manageable living space.
Home Made Simple premieres Saturday, November 1 at 9/8c on OWN.
